It's a good long drive but as you get closer and closer, you get nearer the sea, then you crest the last hill and you can see the site, with the horizon stretching left to right as far as you can see. A true breath catcher. The only danger of this site, if you can think of it that way, is it makes you want to just sit and watch the sea, all day, or walk the beach looking for shells, or bbq with the best sunset as your back drop. Or just watch the sea. On a practical note, as a novice tow-er, the access is very good, the taps and electric are very well placed and the toilet / shower block is very well kept

campsite review just back from our third visit to the site,theres been some improvements since our last visit mainly recycling facilitys,a dog waste bin and solar lights along the roadside to the touring pitches,as usual awarm friendly welcome from anne and a lovely relaxing break on a cracking site its no wonder people keep coming back highly recommended to anyone looking for a scenic site right on a beach and we can also recommend the argyle hotel good food at very reasonable prices.the only down side is eventualy you have to go home!

fantastic stay at killiegruer myself and the two kids loved this site ,its clean ,braw sandy beaches and the welcome you get from ann puts you at ease right away,so much so we will be returning this year.shops are only a short walk/drive into glenbarr, people on site were so friendly and the toilets and shower rooms were in good repair and spotlessly clean, a credit to you ann ,Graeme ,Vikki, and Alex Bryce .

Fantastic Holiday We stayed here for 10 nights in August - family of 3. 2 adults and our son (aged 11) and had an absolutely fantastic time. It was a proper family holiday - no amusement arcades, tatty seaside shops, or TV - just brilliant outdoor living with some fantastic sunsets thrown in :-). Weather was a mixed bag (but not much we could do about that). Shower and toiler block were kept perfectly clean by Anne with plenty of hot water. Hope to re visit. many thanks for everything Anne x

Great site We stayed at this excellent site the last week of the season Oct 2017.Highly recommend stopping off here. The owner Anne is very friendly and helpful.Views from our pitch right on the waterfront were spectacular.We did get belted by a major storm for a day or two, but to be honest that added to the experience. Our two Labradors were in their element, heading for the beach every chance they got...even in the storm ! The site facilities were first class, showers and toilets too ! We will be returning to Killegruer.

Camping Trip We have just returned from a lovely few days at Killegruer and what a great site it is. Lovely warm friendly welcome from Anne who gave lots of local information. Toilet block and showers were very clean and always had hot water as did the dish washing area. Great location and easy to see why this site has celebrated 50 years and will be going strong for the next 50! Looking forward to our next trip already

lovely site me and my partner john mcguire stayed for a 3 nights in this lovely camp site.Killegruer was heaven to us with fantastic views and beach.Toilets and showers are very clean and tidy.I could recommend this site to everyone.Anne the owner is very nice lady i had some farm eggs from her and believe me they were so delisious and yammmy so thank you Anne for your warm welcome to us and also for running this fantastic camp site!Heaveners Vili and John mcguire
